Familiarizing yourself with the print dialog box is the key to printing documents in Bento.

Bento is software developed by Filemaker that enables you to plan events, track projects, organize your contacts and print lists and labels. It is also available for the iPhone and iPad. When printing in Bento you want to make sure you print what you need and not the whole screen. Familiarize yourself with the print dialog box so printing in the future becomes much easier. By using some of the options available, you can easily customize your documents.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to "File" and select "Print" in the Bento program. The print dialog box appears. Add a check in the "Don't Print Background" box under Options. This will make sure the background color or pattern is not included in the printed document, saving you lots of ink.

Choose the landscape option when printing forms so the text is larger and easier to read. It will also use more of the space on the paper. Bento automatically shrinks the contents of forms so they fit on one piece of paper. Since templates are designed to look good on a wide screen, your printed document will lay out nicely on paper in landscape form.

Add page numbers and the current date to the bottom of each page if needed. Choose the option to print the form without data to have room for answering questions or filling in information. Make these updates in the dialog box as well.

Tips & Warnings

  • Adjust the text fields in each individual form so you don't have to scroll to read it all. When your document prints, the text will be large enough to read. Whatever you have to scroll to read will not print.
