How to Paint With Happy Colors
Many homes have bland white walls. Enliven the look of your home by painting your interior rooms with happy paint colors. Choose colors that make you feel happy. For each person these colors can be different. Some homeowners may choose light greens because they feel tranquil while others may choose a yellow color because it is bright and playful. - Paint chips
- Screwdriver
- Drop cloths
- Happy latex paint colors
- Bucket or tray
- Paintbrush
- Paint roller
- Water

Choose happy paint colors for your home. Head to your local home improvement or paint store and pick several different colors of paint chips. Tape the paint chips to the walls in your home and examine them throughout different periods of the day. Use these paint chips to choose a happy paint color for the room you are painting.

Unscrew outlet covers from the walls with a screwdriver. Lay down drop cloths on the floor beneath the walls.

Dump a small amount of paint into a bucket or tray. Dip a paintbrush into the paint and use it to cut in around the walls. Run a smooth line of paint along the space between the ceiling and the walls. This will make it easier to paint the walls with a paint roller without getting paint on the ceiling.

Dump the paint into a paint tray. Roll the paint roller into the paint in the tray. Begin painting the walls in a "w" pattern. Cover the walls with the happy paint colors. Let the paint dry per manufacturer directions.

Clean the paint brush, roller and trays with warm water.
