How to Put Your Own Template on


Webs is an Internet hosting site where you can create and customize your own website. Webs offers several hosting packages, including a free package, a starter package for $3.75 a month, an enhanced package for $7.75/month, and a pro package for $16.66/month. Though Webs has hundreds of templates you can choose from, you also have the ability to upload your own templates.

Get Started

  • Open the Webs site. Click your website type from the drop-down menu, and then click "Get Started."

  • Type your email address, a password, your name, birth date and gender in the designated fields and then click "HTML-Only Mode."

  • Type your desired website address in the "Site Address" field. Type the Captcha characters as they're shown, and then click "Next Step."

  • Click your account package and click "Select Now" or "Upgrade Now" to create your site.

Upload Your Template

  • Rename the HTML template you want to upload to "index.htm" or "index.html" and delete the existing "index.htm" file in the "Manage Files" section of the "Webs" site builder.

  • Click the "Single File Uploader" button in the "Upload Tools" section of the site builder.

  • Click the "Browse" button and then double-click on your HTML template to select it in the uploader.

  • Click "Upload File" and then click on your uploaded template in the "Manage Files" section to view it.
