How to Write a Letter of Interest & Goals for a Master's Degree
The letter of interest is an integral part of the application process when applying to a graduate school. Along with the application form, written recommendations, entrance exam scores and face-to-face interview, the letter of interest forms the basis for granting you entrance into a graduate program. The letter of interest is a one- or two-page letter that briefly introduces a prospective student to the school to which he is applying.

Tips & Warnings
Do not include information that you have already mentioned in the application form. If you mention specific classes from your undergraduate studies, emphasize how those courses affected you rather than grade point average and exam scores.
Do not be afraid of using the personal pronoun "I" when writing your letter. It is a personal statement, so make it personal.
