American Express offers a credit card service to consumers around the world. You can use your American Express card to pay for purchases as well as pay bills online by following some simple procedures. Be aware, not all retailers accept American Express cards. You will need to perform some investigative procedures before you can make an American Express payment. However, you can generally find a store in any area that sells the goods you need and accepts American Express.
Call the store you wish to go to. Ask if they accept American Express. This can save you time and money on gas if you can avoid making an unnecessary trip. Alternatively, visit an online store and check their payment method to ensure they accept American Express.
Purchase your goods. Give your physical item to the teller at a store. If you use the internet, go to the checkout page.
Hand the teller your American Express card at the physical store. They will swipe it for you. Prepare to give them some identification if asked for it. Sign the receipt once they hand it to you. If you purchase the item online, enter your American Express card number into the payment field. You will also enter your billing address. Further, you will need to enter the security code found on the back of your American Express card. Click “Submit” to finalize your online purchase.
