Instructions for the Use of Obagi

Save

The Obagi system is a complete product line for basic skin care that includes cleansing and toning routines. One example is the Obagi-C Rx system, which contains vitamin C to encourage collagen production and 4 percent hydroquinone to reduce the appearance of dark spots and other skin discoloration. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for your morning and evening skin care routines. Before selecting an Obagi system, ask your dermatologist if it is right for your skin type.

Things You'll Need

  • Cotton ball

Morning Routine

  • Wet your fingers with water and massage a dime-size drop of cleansing gel onto your entire face using circular motions. Thoroughly rinse the gel off your face with lukewarm water. This product is for all skin types.

  • Apply three to four pumps of balancing toner to a cotton ball. Rub the cotton ball evenly over your face and allow it to dry. Only apply this product if you have normal to oily skin; it is not intended for dry skin.

  • Apply the clarifying serum to your entire face (about five to seven drops) with your fingertips. This product is for all skin types.

  • Apply a pea-size amount of exfoliating lotion to your entire face and gently massage it in with circular motions. This product is only suitable for people with normal to dry skin types.

  • Apply the C-SunGuard SPF 30 product to your entire face, especially before spending time outdoors. Use enough to completely cover all of your skin. Re-apply throughout the day as needed and after swimming or bathing. This product is for all skin types.

Night Routine

  • Apply the cleansing gel to your face to remove makeup and dirt. Follow the same procedure as you did for your morning routine.

  • Apply the balancing toner in the same manner as your morning routine, but only if you have normal to oily skin.

  • Place a pea-size amount of C-Therapy Night Cream to your fingertips. Massage it into your entire face.
