Instructions

  1. Mixing Enfamil AR Powder

    • 1

Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them. Wash baby bottles and nipples and sterilize them.

    • 2

Prepare water. Some physicians suggest water should be boiled or purified before using it in infant formulas. One way of preparing water is to boil it for seven minutes, then allow the water to cool. Do not serve the water hot, as it may cause a severe burn to the infant. Another option is to have bottled purified water on hand, for making formula.

    • 3

For every 2 fl. oz. of water, add one unpressed level scoop of formula. For example, if you desire a 4 fl. oz. bottle, add 4 fl. oz of water and 2 scoops of formula.

    • 4

Put the water and formula into bottle, screw on the lid or nipple, and shake thoroughly. Allow formula to sit five minutes, before warming the bottle for the baby.

Tips & Warnings

  • Bottles of formula can be made in advance, but should be allowed to sit for more than 24 hours. Once bottles have been warmed, the unused portion should be discarded after one hour.

  • Do not microwave your baby bottles. They can become too hot and can burn you or your baby.

  • Enfamil AR powdered formula is not a sterile formula and therefore should not be used for premature infants or for babies who suffer from immune problems.
