How to Replace a Sunglass Lens
Replacing a damaged or lost sunglass lens is a moderately easy process that just about anyone can do with the proper tools. The most difficult and potentially costly portion of replacing a sunglass lens is purchasing the replacement lens itself. If you have a designer pair of sunglasses, for example, replacement lenses can be considerably expensive and are usually only available directly from the manufacturer. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Order or purchase a replacement lens for your specific brand of sunglasses. Most often sunglass distributors will sell replacement lenses on their website or in stores that carry their product line. Be sure to only purchase a replacement lens for your model of glasses; otherwise, the lens may not fit properly and can become damaged.

2
Use your screwdriver or other tool that comes with your glasses repair kit to remove the screw from your sunglasses' frame. This screw will be very small, so be sure to set it aside for safekeeping once removed. You will need this screw again once you install the replacement lens. If you have lost the original screw in your sunglasses, most glasses repair kits come with extra screws.

Slide your replacement lens into the frame of your sunglasses so that it fits appropriately for your frame model. Make sure there are no open spaces between the frame edge and that of your replacement lens. Do not force the replacement lens into place; doing so may damage the replacement lens or sunglasses frame. Remember that the lens will bow towards the face-side of your sunglasses.

Place your replacement screw (or original frame screw, if you still have it) in the corner screw hole and tighten with your screwdriver. Once complete, wipe the replacement lens clean with your tissue.

Tips & Warnings
Depending on the style and price of your sunglasses, you may be better off simply buying a replacement pair of sunglasses (especially if your model is a discount or generic model). Replacement lens can be expensive.
Do not push too hard on your sunglasses frame when installing the replacement lens. Doing so may cause you to bend or break your frame.
