Reaching out to customers by mail is an important part of many businesses. With the amount of people who move on a regular basis, it's important to keep track of customers' current addresses, especially when dealing with sensitive information. The United States Postal Service provides a service that handles just that. Once you fill out an application and pay a yearly fee, the information is yours to use to keep your business moving.

Navigate to the RIBBS NCOA link from your computer (see resources below).

Choose which option is best for you. In most cases, you will want to select "End User Mailer" (EUM). This will give you access to the database that has all of the change-of-address information.

Fill out the application and pay the annual license fee. As of April 2011, the fee was $7,500.

Receive your system access from the United States Postal Service. Once the USPS has received all of your data and payment, you will receive the information necessary to access the database.

Renew each year with your annual payment. As of April 2011, that was $7,500.
