How to Remove Fixodent From Gums

For those who have to wear dentures, taking them out at the end of the day can be a messy endeavor. Fixodent is a common denture binding adhesive, and many people use it to keep their false teeth in all day. However, if you still have Fixodent residue on your gums after you've removed your dentures, there's a fairly simple method to get rid of it. All you need is warm water, a soft toothbrush and some toothpaste.

Things You'll Need

• Soft bristled toothbrush
• Toothpaste
• Warm water

Instructions

1. Swish warm water through your mouth. Fixodent breaks down as it absorbs water, and warm water helps break down the bonds.

2. Brush your gums with a soft-bristled toothbrush and gentle toothpaste. Don't press hard on the brush, but allow the friction to peel away at the Fixodent.

3. Rinse your mouth with warm water again. This will clear off toothpaste residue along with more Fixodent. Continue brushing and rinsing until your gums are clean.
