Catch up with childhood friends and old classmates on Facebook.

Facebook lets you and your friends and family communicate with one another, and it's also a place to find new friends. If you see someone on Facebook that you'd like to be friends with, you must submit a Friend Request to network with that person. Facebook doesn't provide a place where you can see a list of pending requests, but you're still able to see your status with a person by viewing your Friends list.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your Facebook account using your email address and password.

    • 2

Click on "Accounts," and then click "Edit Friends."

    • 3

Click "Friends" in the "Lists" menu on the left side of the page. All of your current friends appear.

    • 4

Look for any person with "Friend Request Pending" beneath their name. This person has not yet either approved or rejected your request.

Tips & Warnings

  • It's also possible to view your Friend Request status by going to a person's profile. "Awaiting Friend Confirmation" means the request hasn't been approved yet. "Remove friend" means your request was approved. If you see "Add as Friend," you haven't yet sent a Friend Request to that person.
