How to Play Music Files From a Flash Drive to an Amplifier
Many computer users now carry flash drives to keep personal files in a convenient, portable device. Many drives like the SanDisk Cruzer can hold up to 64 gigabytes of data. You can play music files on a flash drive through an amplifier by using a computer and a 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch converter cable. The audio signal will move from the computer's headphone jack to the amplifier. The entire connection process can be completed within a few minutes.

Turn on the computer you will using to play the files by pressing the "Power" button.

Insert the flash drive into an open USB port on your computer. Wait for the flash drive's icon to appear in your desktop.

Open an audio player application on your computer like Apple's iTunes or Windows Media Player.

Insert the 1/8 inch side of the cable into the headphone jack of your computer. Insert the 1/4 inch side of the cable into the "Input" jack on the amplifier. Turn on the amplifier and turn up the "Master Volume" knob.

Double-click the flash drive's icon in the desktop. Double-click the music file you want to play inside the flash drive. The song will begin playing through the software audio player and into the amplifier.
