How to Tie a Chef Neckerchief
A chef's neckerchief starts as a square piece of white material that is folded into a knot to wear close to your neck. Fold the neckerchief in half to form a triangle, then fold the wider edge toward the point to make a hem of about three inches. Continue folding every three inches until the clock has become a folded scarf.

Place the scarf around your neck so that the midpoint is across the center of the back of your neck. Bring the ends of the scarf forward and over your shoulders. Cross the left end over the right end and bring the left end up to thread it through the part of the neckerchief that is currently around your neck. Pull the ends as tight as you can in order to still be comfortable.

Cross the right end over the left end, inserting the right end through the knot. Pull the ends comfortably tight. At this point, the ends should be as even as possible and the knot should be tight.

Adjust the knot to center it at the front of your neck and gently pull the ends until they are neatly arranged.
