How to Send a Link to a Dropbox Folder

Documents, music and videos stored in your Dropbox account are accessible by others when direct links are sent via email. The file you wish to share with others must be stored in your account's public folder to be accessed, and is separate from the Shared folder that is available for connected users. The link created in your account cannot be used to access alternate information in your Dropbox folder, and can be accessed by others at any time until the file is removed from the public folder.
