How to Upload a Facebook Profile Picture on a Mac OS 10
IPhoto is the default photo-editing and storage utility on Mac computers. Older versions of iPhoto have trouble interfacing with the Facebook image uploader. Fortunately, Facebook released the iPhoto Facebook plug-in, which allows you to quickly and easily upload pictures to your Facebook profile directly from the iPhoto dashboard. Once uploaded with iPhoto, you can access your Facebook account normally and assign any of the uploaded pictures as your Facebook profile picture.

Open your Safari browser by clicking the "Safari" icon in the dock. Download the iPhoto Facebook plug-in and double-click the file folder to upzip it. Double-click the installer file within the folder to start the installation process.

Click "Continue" three times to advance the menus, and then click "Agree" to accept the license agreement. Select your hard drive as the download destination and then click "Continue." Click "Install" to install the plug-in. Input your Mac password into the appropriate field and click "OK." Click "Close," and then close Safari as well.

Click on "iPhoto" in the dock to open the iPhoto program. Browse through your photos and click on the picture that you want to upload as your profile picture. Click "File" and select "Export." A new window will appear.

Click on the "Facebook" tab at the top of the window. Click the "Login" button in the top-left corner of the window and input your Facebook account information. Click "OK."

Add a description in the "Description" field of the photo and select to either put the photo in an existing album or to create a new album. Click "Export" in the bottom-right corner of the window when you are ready to upload the photo to Facebook.

Open Safari and navigate to the Facebook homepage.

Enter your email address and account password into the "Email" and "Password" fields at the top-right corner of the page. Click "Login" to access your account.

Click on your name in the upper-left corner of the page to view your profile page. Click on the "Photos" link below your current profile picture.

Locate the album to where you just uploaded the new picture you want to assign as your profile picture and click it. Scroll through the pictures in the album using the right and left arrow keys until you find the correct picture.

Click on "Make Profile Picture" below the picture to assign the image as your profile picture.
