How to Score an Ace in Rummy
"Rummy" is a card game played between two to six players using a standard 52-card deck. "Rummy" is a shedding game in which players start with seven cards in their hand and attempt to discard them all by making "melds" consisting of "runs" and "sets." A set consists of three or four cards of the same rank (such as three or four Kings) and a run consists of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit (such as two, three and four of spades). Aces are typically scored as one and can only be played as "low." This means Aces can only be played as Ace, two, three and so on in a run. However, home rules often count the Ace as 15 if it is allowed to be played as "high."

Have each player who didn't go out reveal his hand. Score each revealed Ace as one point on a sheet of paper under the player who went out.

Score the Ace as 15 if, during the game, the Ace was allowed to be played as "high." In other words, the Ace could be played in a run next to a King (such as Queen, King, Ace of hearts).
