How to Trace an IRS Refund
After you file your taxes, you may be in position to receive a refund. The Internal Revenue Service allows you to quickly find out where your refund currently is with its "Where's My Refund?" service. Information on your refund posts 72 hours after you e-file or three to four weeks after you paper file. Once your return is processed, you can track your refund. The site updates refund status each Wednesday.
