How to See What the Trending Topics Are on Twitter

Twitter keeps an up-to-the-minute list of what its users are talking about. This list, called trending topics, lets other users discover the popular subjects of the moment. Users can view the topics trending worldwide, or they can view the popular topics in certain countries and cities. Once you know the trending topics on Twitter, you can choose to tweet about one of them.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Twitter home page.

2. Scroll down the screen to see the Worldwide Trending Topics on the right-hand side of the page.

3. Click "Change" to see the Trending Topics in a particular country or city.

Tips & Warnings

• If you do not have a Twitter account, go to the Twitter home page. The trending topics scroll across the screen.
