Airplane mode is a common feature found on modern cell phones. The iPhone, Android and G1 Google cell phones all come with this feature. Airplane mode allows you to use some features on your phone without connecting to your cellular network. This means that phone calls, text messages and emails will not be received while engaged in airplane mode. Airplane mode allows you to access games, music and videos while traveling on vehicles such as airplanes; where cell phone use is not allowed.

Instructions

  1. iPhone Airplane Mode

      Run your finger across the bottom of your iPhone touch screen where it says "Slide to Unlock".

      Press the "Settings" button located on your main menu screen.

      Slide your finger across the "Airplane Mode" button to switch it to the "Off" position.

    Android Airplane Mode

      Navigate to the main menu screen on your Android cell phone.

      Press and hold down the "Power" button on the face of your Android cell phone.

      Press the button labeled with the "Airplane" symbol to switch the airplane mode to the "Off' position.

    G1 Google Cell Phone

      Go the the home screen on you G1 Google cell phone by pressing the "Home" button

      Select the "Menu" button on your display screen. Press the "Settings" icon.

      Press the "Wireless Controls" button. Uncheck the box specific to the "Airplane Mode" option, by unchecking the box with your finger; turning off the airplane mode on your G1 Google cell phone.
