A pail, a sandy beach and an imagination are all a child needs to stay entertained for hours on a warm sunny day. Take a plain plastic pail and a few inexpensive craft supplies to make a personalized pail for your young beach goer. Personalized pails also make fitting playful containers for beach-themed party favors, Easter treats and gifts in place of gift bags.
Things You'll Need
- Sand pail
- Self-adhesive vinyl letters
- Contact paper
- Craft knife
- Long thin latex balloons
Use self-adhesive vinyl letters to put the name of the pail's owner on the front of the pail.
Draw designs on contact paper using a pencil. Simple designs work best, such as basic shapes.
Cut the designs from the contact paper using a craft knife.
Peel the backing paper off of the cut out pieces and adhere the pieces to the pail.
Tie long thin latex balloons to the pail's handle with double knots to create a fringe along the entire length of the handle.
