How to Add Fire & Flame Graphics to Your Photos

Save

Adding special effects and/or graphics to your photos can turn any ordinary picture into something a little more extraordinary, funny or unique. To add fire and flames to a picture, you'll need to do one thing before getting started: Download Adobe Photoshop onto your computer --- iPhoto for Mac and Windows Photo Gallery for PCs will not give you the same options and graphic effects. (See Resources)

  • Open Photoshop on your computer and double-click --- or open --- the photo to which you want to add the graphic.

  • Click "Filter For Graphics" icon from the Content panel.

  • Choose "Fire" and/or "Flame" from the Category menus.

  • Click the color for the fire/flame graphic from the toolbox if you do not want it to be a reddish-orange.

  • Click the fire/flame thumbnails that you like best, and click "Apply."

  • Click the "Move" tool to enlarge the graphic and to move it to the exact location that you want it to be on your photo.
