1
Use a concealer that is slightly darker than your usual shade. Apply your foundation to your untanned skin lightly using your foundation brush. Your foundation should be toned a few shades darker than your regular foundation. Blend the foundation well to ensure that there aren't any noticeable lines where the foundation starts on your skin. Consider using a sheer and light foundation or concealer that won't feel heavy on your skin during the summer heat.

Apply a light shimmery bronzer to reflect light. Ensure that the foundation or concealer has been well blended into your skin. Apply the shimmery bronzer with your powder brush on top of the concealer. You will just need a light coat so don't apply more than you will need. To help your cover-up stay in place longer, add a light dusting of translucent powder.

Use an assortment of brushes to get the perfect look. Add a pink or rosy-hued blush on top of the concealer to help add a touch of pink to your tan lines, but to also help with the blending out of the tan lines. Don't use too much blush; just a light dusting will do.

Cover your tan lines and bare your shoulders without care. Use an easy-to-use spray or self-tanner lotion or bronzer in lieu of the makeup cover-up. However, you should take care to smooth it evenly on your skin to avoid unsightly streaking. Another risk to using self-tanners or bronzers is that you may not exactly match the tone of your tanned skin; and there is always the risk of your skin turning somewhat orange.

The risks of damage to your skin from the sun is something of which you should always be aware. Always use a good sunscreen in the future to help avoid further painful sunburns.
