How to Play HDMI From Macbooks

If your MacBook is a mid 2010 or later model, it is equipped with a Mini DisplayPort to aid in connecting output sources, like external monitors and TVs. Use your MacBook's Mini DisplayPort and an adapter to connect the laptop to an HDMI device. According to the Apple support webpages, there are two third-part adapters suitable for connecting Mini DisplayPorts to HDMI devices: the Moshi Mini DP to HDMI adapter and the Griffin Video Display Converter. As of March 2011, both are available to purchase online from the Apple Store.
