How to Test Internet Speed for MSN

MSN Dial-up is an Internet service that uses a regular phone line to connect to the Internet. MSN Premium is an add-on service available for high-speed Internet users that offers premium content, virus protection and advanced email accounts. If you are a MSN Dial-up or MSN Premium customer, you can test your Internet speed by using a free Online speed testing tool.

Instructions

Speedtest.net

1. Go to an online speed testing tool. Examples of online speed testing tools include Speedtest.net, Speakeasy.net and Bandwidthplace.com.

2. Select an available city to test your Internet speed. You want to select a city as close to your current location as possible. Selecting a nearby city helps to ensure an accurate speed reading for your Internet connection. Some Online speed testing tools automatically select the city for you so you will not see an option to select a city.

3. Click the "Begin Test" or "Start Test" button to test your Internet Speed for MSN. The search results page will display both your up and down speeds.
