How to Thin Thick Eyebrows
Eyebrows frame your face, protect and accentuate your eyes and help you express yourself. Thick eyebrows can look like caterpillars on your face if you have fragile features. A thin eyebrow will look more natural. To thin your bushy eyebrows, you can have a professional, wax, thread or tweeze your brows. - Mirror
- Eyebrow brush
- Eyebrow pencil
- Eyebrow stencil
- Makeup remover
- Tweezers
- Eyebrow scissors
- Eyebrow gel

Plan to do your eyebrows after taking a shower because the steam from the shower will open your pores so tweezing will be less painful.

Look into the mirror and brush your eyebrows upward with an eyebrow brush to expose their full volume.

Find and mark the beginning point of your eyebrow. Draw an imaginary line (or use an eyebrow pencil that you wash off later) from the side of your left nostril up toward the inner part of your left eyebrow. Mark this point with an eyebrow pencil. This is where your eyebrow will start. Repeat this on the right side.

Draw an imaginary diagonal line from your left nostril to the outer corner of your left eye all the way to the outer point of your left eyebrow. Use an eyebrow pencil to mark this point. This is where your eyebrow will end. Repeat this step on the right side of your face.

Locate the point where your arch should be. Find the outer edge your left iris and draw an imaginary line upward toward the left eyebrow. Mark this point with your eyebrow pencil. Do the same for your right eyebrow.

Use an eyebrow stencil that resembles the thin eyebrow you desire to create. The stencil should complement the shape you drew in the previous steps. Place the stencil against your eyebrow and color in the outline with an eyebrow pencil. Remove the stencil and repeat the process on your other eye.

Tweeze the hairs underneath your eyebrow outlines one by one. Avoid overtweezing and creating eyebrows that are too thin. Extract one or two hairs and step back to examine your eyebrows before proceeding.

Use eyebrow scissors to trim the stray the hairs sticking out at the top of your eyebrows. The shorter you trim the hair the thinner your eyebrow will be.

Remove any hairs in between your eyebrows with your tweezers. Set your eyebrows with tinted or clear eyebrow gel.

Tips & Warnings
Eyebrow stencils can be purchased at your local drugstore and come in a large variety of shapes and sizes. If you don't have eyebrow stencils available you can try drawing your desired eyebrow shape onto your eyebrows. Use makeup remover if your make a mistake.
