How to Talk to a Girl Who Has a Boyfriend
Talking to a girl who has a boyfriend is not in itself complicated. Instead, you can make it complicated by fixating on the fact that she has a boyfriend. Ignoring this and being respectful and polite will keep the conversation on a pleasant track and will help you avoid making any glaring mistakes. Treating the girl like a human being will make the conversation run smoothly, and you will be unlikely to get yourself, or the boyfriend, in trouble.

1
Treat her as you would one of your male friends, or a family member. Be polite and respectful toward her and treat her as an individual. This should be the way you speak to anyone, whether the person is a girl or has a boyfriend.
-
2
Avoid scandalous gossip about her boyfriend. The boyfriend probably won't appreciate you telling his girlfriend things about him. Even if they are funny stories, the girl's boyfriend may wish to keep them private. Similarly, if the boyfriend has told you any scandalous information about her, don't tell her you know. This will be embarrassing for you and her, and will get the boyfriend in trouble, and he will blame you.

3
Find something you have in common. If you know that she likes comedy, talk to her about her favorite comedian. You are more likely to have a normal conversation if you are talking about things you enjoy.
-
4
Avoid physical contact. Even if she didn't have a boyfriend, unasked for physical contact can be inappropriate. The fact that she has a boyfriend makes it more so. Touching her will seem flirty, which is not an appropriate action to take with a girl who has a boyfriend.
-
5
Keep it simple. There is no reason why it needs to be complex talking to a girl who has a boyfriend. Talk about simple things, and when the conversation seems to be petering out, say goodbye and leave. Everything else over-complicates the process and can cause difficulties.
