Ad-Aware Installation

Ad-Aware is a free malware- and spyware-detection program available for Windows-based PCs. Ad-Aware will scan your computer, locate all spyware and malware and automatically delete them, increasing the speed and productivity of your computer. The program is available in both a free and a paid version. No matter which version you download or purchase, however, the installation instructions remain the same. Once you have finished downloading Ad-Aware from the Lavasoft website, you can begin installing it.

  Double-click the downloaded "AdAwareInstall.exe" file to start the installation. Depending on the current version of Ad-Aware, there may be a string of numbers located in the .exe file.

  Click the box next to "I Agree." Click "Next."

  Select a location on your hard drive to install Ad-Aware to. Click "Next."

  Click "Next" to begin installation. The program will install automatically.

  Click "Finish" to complete installation.
