A candy-themed party is the perfect way to celebrate a sweet 16 birthday. In addition to decorating in bright, candy-inspired colors, like pink, purple and blue, and serving candy-inspired treats and drinks, consider decorating the tables with a candy-themed centerpiece. Not only will these items look pretty but they can also be used as party favors when guests leave the party. For added benefit, if you are craft-oriented, you can even make the centerpieces yourself.
Things You'll Need
- Clear vase, square or tubular
- Candy-coated chocolates
- Candy cane sticks
- Lollipops of various heights and sizes
- Floral wire
Pour the candy-coated chocolates into the vase, filling the vase up completely.
Set the stems of the candy cane sticks and lollipops into the vase, ensuring that the lollipops are spread out evenly around the vase's perimeter and placed at varying heights.
Cut eight to 10 pieces of floral wire to varying lengths.
Insert a gumball in one end of each wire.
Arrange the wired-gumballs throughout the vase at varying heights; the gumballs will make the wires bend slightly.
Cut a piece of ribbon to wrap around the diameter of the vase. Tie the ribbon in a bow at the front of the vase or glue it in place with the seam at the back of the vase.
