How to Recover an SD Memory Card

Your computer must have a SD card reader to recover your files.

SD memory cards allows users to save pictures, videos and other forms of data on hand-held devices like digital cameras and video camcorders. If you delete a file, Undelete Plus is the only way to recover your files. The program, which you can download to your computer, scans your card for recently deleted files. After the scan, it will allow you to recover them.

Things You'll Need

• Computer with SD card reader
• Undelete Plus

Instructions

1. Download and install Undelete Plus.

2. Insert the SD card into the computer.

3. Open Undelete Plus. Double-click the SD card drive in "My Computer," then press "Start Scan." Recently deleted files will start appearing inside of the program.

4. Click the files that you want to restore and press "Start Undelete." The files will now be reinstated on the SD card.

Tips & Warnings

• Always back up your files onto a hard drive so that you do not lose them.

• If a deleted file is over a year old, it cannot be recovered.
