How to Update Etrust Antivirus in a Server
ETrust Antivirus software has a server application that lets you update virus definition files in one location. Update eTrust Antivirus software on the server, so client computers can download the files from one secure location on your network. The eTrust software has an update feature that makes it convenient for you to download the necessary files and update the server software.

Click the Windows "Start" button on the server that contains the eTrust software. Click "All Programs," then "eTrust." Click the "eTrust Antivirus" shortcut to open the software.

Click the "Scanner" tab. Click the button labeled "Signature update options." This opens a new window. Click the "Incoming" tab.

Select a protocol type from the drop-down menu, but leave the host address, user name and password intact. Typical downloads use the "FTP" protocol. Type a location where you want to save the eTrust Antivirus update files. The default folder is the "eTrust" folder in your public folder.

Click "OK." In the window that opens, click the "Download Now" button. It takes several minutes to download and install the definition files for eTrust Antivirus software. Click "Close" when you receive a confirmation that the process completed.
