Mozilla Firefox is an Internet browser available for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android operating systems. Firefox add-ons provide additional tools and features like browser themes, extensions and plug-ins that customize the Web browsing experience. When troubleshooting an add-on or browser error, disable Firefox's add-ons one at a time to determine which add-on is causing the error.

Instructions

      Open the Mozilla Firefox Internet browser. Select the "Tools" tab from the menu bar at the top of the window.

      Click "Add-ons" in the Tools menu. A dialogue box displaying the currently installed Firefox add-ons will appear.

      Scroll through the list and click on the add-on you would like to disable.

      Click the "Disable" button on the right-hand side of the add-on box. The Firefox add-on is now disabled.

Tips & Warnings

  • Re-enable the add-on by clicking the "Enable" button.
