How to Reset the Wipers on a GEM Car
Because the Global Electric Motocar, or GEM, runs solely on electricity, every component is run through the electrical system in some way. Problems can normally be corrected with some basic knowledge of electricity. If the wiper on the front of your GEM car is no longer working, there are just a few areas to check in order to fix the problem. Assuming that there is no large underlying problem, this job should take less than half an hour.

1
Test the wiper by making sure the key is in the correct position for the car to run. Turn the key off.

2
Remove the cover of the fuse panel, located on the lower dash, by using the key that is used to start the vehicle and turning the lock one-quarter turn counterclockwise.

Locate the correct fuse by looking at the fuse map in the owner's manual of your GEM car. If no owner's manual is available, the wiper fuse is a 10 Amp fuse that is traditionally the second from the top in the left column of fuses.

Remove the fuse with the fuse puller and inspect to see if it is blown. Replace with a new fuse.

5
Test the wipers. After confirming that they are working, reinstall the fuse cover.
