How to Add the Loading Progress to an FLV Player Skin

Flash media is typically created for online usage, whereby you will play a Flash file in your web browser. If you want to distribute Flash content for use without the Internet, you need a player. FlvPlayerPRO allows you to build standalone players for Flash videos (FLV). Most FLV files will load automatically on a computer, but sometimes they may still need to load. In this instance it is useful to add a progress bar to the skin, to show users how long is left to wait. This is set up in the Parameters tab in flvPlayerPRO.

Instructions

    • 1

Open flvPlayerPRO from the "Start" menu. Press "Ctrl" and "O" and open a project you want to add the progress bar to.

    • 2

Expand the "Properties" box at the bottom of the program.

    • 3

      Click the "Parameters" tab.

    • 4

Locate "Progress Bar." To the right of the text will be a field displaying "False." Double-click this and type "True." Press "Enter."

    • 5

Press "Ctrl" and "S" to save the project. When you build the project it will now feature a progress bar.
