Circumventor will let you get around blocked websites on work computers.

Setting up the Circumventor program on a computer will allow you to access blocked and censored Web pages through any restricted computer. Circumventor is a program that you install on a computer that is not blocked or censored, and the program will create a website URL that you will be able to use from any blocked or censored computer to visit any website you want. The installation is simple and should take you no more than 10 minutes before you can enjoy uncensored Internet.

Instructions

      Download ActivePerl (see Resources) and install it. Click on the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions to install ActivePerl. Ensure that ActivePerl is installed to "C:\Perl." This will be the default option, so do not change it.

      Download and install OpenSA 2.0.2 beta (see Resources). Click on the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions to install OpenSA 2.0.2 beta. If you get to a screen titled "Server Information," enter random information on the screen to bypass it.

      Download and install Circumventor (see Resources). Click on the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions to install Circumventor.

      Click on the Circumventor icon to start the program. The program will give you a website URL. Write down this URL. You can use this URL to enter the Circumventor program from any computer. Enter the URL into any censored computer's browser and you will be able to surf to any website you want.

Tips & Warnings

  • The computer with Circumventor installed on must be connected to the Internet for the program to work.
