How to Adjust the Windshield Washers on a Nissan Pickup

The windshield spray nozzles on a Nissan Pickup are secured to the hood with a retaining nut underneath the hood. Adjusting the nozzles is a simple procedure that requires loosening the nut and adjusting the nozzle. The nozzles should distribute the windshield cleaning spray evenly across the windshield for maximum efficiency and to avoid streaking. Instructions

1. Sit inside the truck and test the windshield washer sprayers. Pay attention to the direction the nozzles are spraying to make the necessary adjustments.

2. Release the hood latch inside the truck. Open the hood and prop it open with the hood stand.

3. Locate the spray nozzle on top of the hood. Loosen the retaining nut for the nozzle body underneath the hood. Adjust the nozzle so that it is aimed at the proper spot on the windshield.

4. Hold the nozzle in place and tighten the retaining nut underneath the hood. Close the hood and test the adjustment. Repeat the procedure if the spray is still not centered properly on the windshield.
