1. Select either a black or acid-wash pair of skinny jeans to put on. These two styles are the most popular washes of jeans from the '80s and are a perfect start to your look. Skinny jeans can be found in many clothing stores if you do not own a pair.

2. Put on an oversized off the shoulder T-shirt or sweatshirt next. You can use an old shirt or sweatshirt that you own instead of going out to buy one. If you do not already own a top that is off the shoulder, the look can be achieved by expanding the hole around the neck using scissors.

3. Wear your off the shoulder T-shirt or sweatshirt with a belt to create the ultimate '80s look. You can use a thin belt or a thicker belt in any color.

4. Put on a pair of high-heeled shoes, which will look great with your tapered skinny jeans. Wear a bright-colored pair of high heels if you own them.

5. Wear as many bangle bracelets as you can find. Also put on large earrings. If your ears are not pierced you can wear clip-on earrings, which work just as well.
