How to Repair a Sanyo DS32920
If you are experiencing performance issues with your Sanyo DS32920 television set--including poor picture or sound quality, or even the TV shutting itself off--try some troubleshooting methods to fix it yourself instead of getting it professionally repaired.
Instructions
-
Poor Picture Quality
-
1
Adjust the antenna (if the TV uses one) until the picture comes in clear.
-
2
Change the television to another channel. If the picture quality on another channel is better, it may be an issue with reception on the other channel.
-
-
3
Press the "Reset" key on the remote. This turns off and then turns back on the television. If this fails, press the "Reset" key twice, which performs a factory rest of the television. Note that this changes all of the television's settings back to their default factory settings.
Poor Sound
-
4
Adjust the volume using the volume buttons on the remote, and tune to a couple of different channels. It may simply be an issue of some channels coming in quieter than others.
-
5
Access the "Audio" option from the main menu and turn the sound setting to "Stereo." If the sound setting is at "Mono," sound does not come in as clearly.
-
6
Press the "Reset" key on the remote twice to perform a factory reset of the television. Note that this changes all settings on the television back to their default factory settings.
TV Turns Off by Itself
-
7
Press the power key to turn the television off, then turn it back on. It is possible that the Sleep Timer is set to turn the television off automatically after a certain period of time. Turning the television off manually cancels this.
-
8
Check the power cord on the back of the television. It is possible that it may not be plugged securely into the socket.
-
9
Unplug the power cord from the socket and wait for a few minutes. Plug the power cord back in and turn the television back on.

Tips & Warnings
Plugging the television into a surge protector instead of a wall socket is a good way to avoid the television being damaged in the event of a power outage.
