How to Remove a Dealer Sticker From a Tinted Window
Most new cars come with dealer stickers. Whether you have tinted windows or not, you will want this sticker removed. If you didn't negotiate with the dealership to have the sticker removed, you will have to do it yourself. It is important that you remove the sticker correctly, or you risk the sticky adhesive being left on the car window.
Things You'll Need
- Hair dryer
- Plastic putty knife
- Rubbing alcohol
- Dish soap
- Water
- Soft cloth
- Window cleaner
- Paper towels

Turn a hair dryer on high heat. Run it across the dealer sticker for five minutes to loosen the sticker's adhesive.

Grab a corner of the sticker and pull until the entire sticker comes off. If you are having trouble pulling the sticker, nudge the edges with a plastic putty knife.

Pour rubbing alcohol on any pieces of sticker that didn't come off the tinted window. Let the rubbing alcohol soak in to the sticker. Use the plastic putty knife one more time to get the rest of the sticker pieces off the window.

Mix 1 tsp. of dish soap with 1 cup of hot water and pour it over the area of the tinted window that sported the sticker. Wipe the area clean with a soft cloth.

Spray the car window with window cleaner and wipe any streaks away with a paper towel.

Tips & Warnings
You can use white distilled vinegar instead of the rubbing alcohol if that is what you have on hand.
Do not remove dealer stickers with an abrasive cleaner. It can scratch the tinted windows.
Do not use a razor blade to scrape the dealer sticker off the tinted window. It may scratch the glass.
