MasterLock manufactures a line of combination padlocks. If you forgot your MasterLock combination or password, in certain cases you can obtain it from the company. You can only obtain a lost combination or password from MasterLock if the lock is not attached to anything and it has a serial number printed on the back. For security reasons, MasterLock no longer prints the serial number on the back of its locks.
Print out the MasterLock lost-combination form from the company's website (see resources).
Photocopy the MasterLock padlock. Confirm that the photocopy shows the serial number on the back of the lock. In addition, the photocopy must clearly show that the lock is not attached to anything.
Complete the MasterLock lost-combination form with your name, the padlock serial number, and the address to which you want the lost combination sent.
Bring the MasterLock lost-combination form to a notary public and have the notary sign, date and stamp the form.
Mail the completed, notarized form and photocopy of the padlock to: Master Lock Warehouse 1600 W. La Quinta Road Suite/Warehouse No. 1 Nogales, AZ 85621
Wait approximately four to six weeks for the lost combination or password to arrive in the mail. Once you receive it, you can open the MasterLock padlock.
