Find a caricature artist online.

Caricature art is a type of pictorial representation that emphasizes particular features of an object over others -- usually prominent facial or body features on people, for example. There are a number of ways to find a caricature artist -- a local newspaper classified section or shopping mall are two good places to start. If you want to find a caricature artist where you live, popular tourist areas are a good place to start.

Instructions

Look for a caricature artist at a visual art school or university. Start searching at the New York's School of Visual Arts (SVA), for example. It has art and cartooning undergraduate and graduate programs. Visit SVA's website to find a caricature artist. Call the school and talk with a department head, if you prefer. Teachers may have additional insight about former art students who may specialize in caricature art, too.

Perform a search on the International Society of Caricature Artist website. Find a caricature artist by entering a name into the "Name" search field. Select the country in which the artist resides, if you know it. Click the "Search" button next. Choose a state, if applicable.

Go to a local fair, beach or boardwalk. Local caricature artists often fine-tune their craft by drawing for tourists. The boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey often has caricature artists at the ready. You can most likely find a caricature artist along the sidewalks of Venice Beach, California, and any similarly popular tourist hot spots.
