How to Care for a Fiberglass Shower
Fiberglass is a popular material for bathroom fixtures such as bathtubs, sinks and showers because of its ability to hold water well without wearing down. Fiberglass is also relatively inexpensive compared to porcelain, and it is easy to care for. Always consult your manufacturer's specific recommendations for your fiberglass shower, if possible, to ensure that you are properly caring for it. If you don't have manufacturer's recommendations, use general fiberglass care instructions. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Rinse the fiberglass shower walls with water after every use. This will help ensure that soap scum is not sitting on the top of the shower walls.
-
2
Spray an all-purpose bathroom cleaner on the shower walls every week to remove soap scum and hard water buildup.
-
-
3
Wipe the walls down with paper towels.
-
4
Add just enough water to 2 tbsp. baking soda to make a thick paste.
-
5
Rub the paste on visible stains until you remove them. The baking soda acts as a mild abrasive that will grind away stains without hurting the fiberglass surface.
-
6
Rinse the area with clear water.

Tips & Warnings
Never use metal or highly abrasive tools to clean the fiberglass, as you could scratch the surface.
Never use harsh chemicals such as bleach or muriatic acid because these will dissolve the fiberglass surface. If you insist on using them, dilute them many times so that the resulting solution is gentle enough for fiberglass.
