How to Replace a Nike Torque Watch Battery
Nike recommends that only authorized service centers replace its batteries. Nike Torque watches use standard CR1620 watch batteries that have an estimated 18-month battery life. Batteries must be replaced by authorized service centers in order to not void a warranty. However, if your Nike Torque is not under warranty, the Torque's battery-hatch design makes it possible for you to change the battery yourself and save money rather than taking the watch to a jeweler or an authorized service center. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
If you see corrosion or loose or damaged parts inside the battery compartment, take the watch to an authorized service center for repair.
When you remove the battery, check to see which side is up. Replace the new battery in the same position. If the battery is not installed correctly, the watch won't work.
If the gasket is replaced improperly, the watch will not be airtight. If the gasket is not airtight, the watch will become water damaged. When replacing the battery, it is advisable that you also replace the gasket with a new gasket.
Although Nike Torque watches have user-serviceable battery hatches, Nike recommends that battery replacements be done only at a authorized Nike service center, where the battery will be replaced, internal components will be cleaned and damaged components will be replaced. Replacing the battery yourself or at a service center not authorized by Nike voids the warranty.
