How to Create MSN Doll Display Pictures

MSN Messenger is an instant messenger where friends, coworkers and family members hang out to chat or video-conference with one another. Using your personalized doll display pics, you can better reflect your taste and personality on MSN. A number of websites allow you to download custom doll display pictures for use with MSN.

Instructions

1. Browse websites such as Emotasia, Smileys Network or MSN Emotions (see Resources). When you come across a doll picture that you want to use, right-click it and click "Save Image As." Save the image to your desktop.

2. Click "Start," "All Programs," "MSN Messenger" to open Messenger.

3. Click "Tools" menu and click "My Emoticons."

4. Click "Create."

5. Click "Find Image" and select the picture from the desktop location.

6. Assign a keyboard shortcut key for the emoticon. Typing this shortcut in the Messenger chat window will bring up the emoticon.

7. Assign a name to the emoticon.

8. Click "OK" to save the new emoticon.

Tips & Warnings

• Acceptable file formats for MSN custom emoticons include JPG, BMP, PNG, and GIF (static and motion).
