Instructions

    • 1

Place two Cadbury Eggs in the freezer. Leave them in the freezer until they are frozen solid; this may take a few hours, so do this well in advance.

    • 2

Mix the flour, milk and a pinch of salt in the bowl. Beat the mixture until it is smooth.

    • 3

Heat the canola oil in a skillet or deep fryer until the temperature reaches approximately 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Check the temperature with the cooking thermometer.

    • 4

Remove the Cadbury Eggs from the freezer and unwrap them. Dip them into the batter, then immediately lower them into the oil.

    • 5

Fry the battered Eggs in the oil for about five minutes. Watch them carefully; cook them just until the batter is golden in color.

    • 6

Remove the Cadbury Eggs from the oil using the slotted spoon. Place them on paper towels and let the excess oil drain off. Sprinkle the eggs with powdered sugar if desired. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Tips & Warnings

  • Increase the amount of batter if you wish to fry more Cadbury Eggs.

  • Handle the Cadbury Eggs very carefully after they are fully cooked. The insides will be too hot to eat when they first come out of the oil.
