1
Remove the puppy's feces from your yard. Parasites can live outside your puppy for days and typically pass through the stool. Removing the feces regularly will help keep your yard parasite- and odor-free. Use a pooper-scooper to remove the waste from your yard and dump the feces into a plastic bag that you store in an outside garbage can. Repeat this step at least every two to three days.

Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water. Add 1/4 tsp. of liquid dish soap and mix thoroughly with a long-handled spoon. Pour the mixture into a garden sprayer and spray your yard liberally with the mixture. The mixture will force any parasitic worms out of the ground and to the surface, making removal easier.

Sprinkle diatomaceous soil over your yard. Diatomaceous soil contains tiny sharp edges that do not harm people or pets but will damage the parasitic worms as they crawl through it. Diatomaceous soil will also damage flea larvae in the lawn. You can purchase diatomaceous soil at farm and feed stores and garden centers.
