How to Make a Hinata Costume
Hinata Hyuuga is a young girl from the Naruto series. She is a shy and timid, preferring peace to fighting. Depending on the story, Hinata can be seen in a number of different clothing choices, one of which is a purple hoodie and navy pants. Creating a Hinata costume for Cosplay or your next costume party requires little money and effort. And since most of the items you can find premade, the time required to create the costume is minimal.

- Lilac zip up hoodie
- Navy blue capris
- Black sandals
- Black socks
- Scissors
- White fabric
- Safety pins
- Black diving knife sheath
- Poster board
- Black pen
- Hot glue gun

Wear a lilac colored zip up hoodie. If possible, look for one with white arms and a white hood. Another option is to wear a lilac zip up vest overtop of a white, long sleeved hoodie.

Wear a pair of navy blue capris. Chose capris that have a cuff on the bottom.

Wear a pair of black, open toe shoes. Black sandals with a heel work best. Cut the toes off of a pair of black socks and wear these with the shoes.

Wrap a 6-inch wide piece of fabric around your right thigh. Secure it in place with safety pins. Wear a black knife sheath with one strap overtop of the white fabric. Look for a diving knife sheath for an approximation of what Hinata wears.

Draw the Naruto symbol on a piece of gray poster board using black ink. The symbol looks like a spiral with a tail sticking up and a triangle opposite of the tail. Use an image of Hinata for reference. The poster board should be four inches long and two inches wide. The symbol should be approximately 1 inch.

Hot glue the gray poster board with the Naruto image to a 4-1/2 inch wide pieces of black fabric. The length of the fabric should be the width of your neck. Wear the black piece of fabric around your neck, securing it behind your neck with safety pins.

Wear white contact lenses to white out your eyes.

Wear a straight, black wig that falls past your shoulders. The wig should have straight cut bangs. The other option is to dye your hair dark indigo blue with using hair dye and straighten it with a straight iron.
