How to Find Mew in Pokemon LeafGreen Version

Mew was a hidden character in the "Red" and "Blue" versions of the original "Pokemon" series. There is a glitch that allowed players to catch Mew in a wild battle. Mew is not an available character in any other game except "Pokemon Emerald." Getting Mew requires either an Action Replay or the use of the Migrate function.

Things You'll Need

  • "Pokemon Red," "Yellow" or "Blue"
  • "Pokemon Emerald"
  • FireWire connection

Method One for Getting Mew

  • Connect one end of the FireWire cord to the FireWire port in the back of your DS.

  • Connect the other end of the FireWire cord to the FireWire port in a friend's DS.

  • Go to a Pokemon center and find the three ladies standing in a row. Talk to the first lady to enter trading mode. Your friend must do the same.

  • Trade one (or more) Pokemon for Mew in the "Trade" menu.

  • Confirm the trade. You and your friend must both hit the "Confirm" button or the trade will not go through.

  • Disconnect the DS FireWire from both DS units.

Method Three for Getting Mew
