How to Fly a Helicopter in "Grand Theft Auto IV"
Grand Theft Auto IV is a video game available on major gaming consoles. An exciting feature of this version is the ability to fly a helicopter over the entire city. Many game players have trouble with the helicopter since it requires more controls than the road vehicles. However, the controls are identical to those of cars or motorcycles with the exception of two buttons that control the altitude of the helicopter.

Press and hold the right trigger button to increase the altitude of the helicopter.
Also hold down the button to increase the helicopter speed when navigating it.

Push the left analog stick forward to move the helicopter forward. The helicopter moves in any direction in which you push the analog stick, whether it be forward, left or right. Hold down the right trigger button to increase the speed of the helicopter.

Pull the left analog stick to slow down the helicopter. Let go of the right trigger button when you want to slow down.

Hold down the left trigger button to lower the helicopter. The helicopter can still be controlled either left, right or forward, but the movements will be much slower.
