How to Draw a School Desk

How to Draw a School Desk thumbnail
Drawing a school desk is a bit more than drawing a box.

A school desk can consist of a desk and a chair and be easy to draw. The basic shape of the desk is a square desktop with straight legs. Since a school desk is a three dimensional object, the person drawing the desk may want to draw a leaning square as a starting place. This will give the two dimensional drawing a three dimensional look by providing some depth to the drawing.

Instructions

    • 1

Draw two parallel vertical lines angled at the right. Draw them as far apart as how wide the user wants the desk to be. This also applies to the length of the vertical lines; this will determine how long the desk will be. One this is completed, draw two parallel horizontal lines connecting the ends of the vertical lines. The end results should look like a square leaning to the right. The lean should give some depth perspective to the desk.

    • 2

Draw a vertical line straight down from the bottom corners of the leaning square. Do the same thing to the upper right corner of the leaning square. For the upper left corner, trace an imaginary vertical line down until the user reaches the outside of the square. Once here, draw a real vertical line down to the same level as the others.

    • 3

Draw a reversed L on the right from the desk; the bottom of the L shape should point toward the desk. Draw a vertical line from each end of the bottom of the L shape to create the chair legs. The finished product should look like a chair pulled up to a desk.
