How to Breed an Eevee in Pokemon Pearl

"Pokémon Pearl" for the Nintendo DS allows players to breed Pokémon by combining compatible male and females at the day-care center in Solaceon Town. "Eevee" is a rare Pokémon that, unlike the others, has multiple evolution forms. To breed an Eevee, players will need to have a male and female Eevee that like each other. Using either a male or female Eevee and a "Ditto" Pokémon can also work.

Instructions

    • 1

Play until you've seen all 150 of the Pokémon in Sinnoh. Travel to the town of Sandgem and talk to Professor Rowan in his lab. Professor Oak will come by and upgrade your Pokédex to a "national" one. You will also receive the "Pokéradar," which will make it easier to track down Pokémon.

    • 2

Travel to Hearthome City and speak to Bebe. She can be found next to the Pokécenter. Have one open slot in the party and save the game before speaking to her. Bebe will give you an Eevee, but it has a random chance of being a male or female. If it is a male, reset and reload to try again. Female Eevees are much rarer than the male ones.

    • 3

Travel to route 218 next to Canalave City. Use the Pokérader to scan the area for Pokémons called "Dittos."

    • 4

Travel to Solacean Town next to Hearthome City. Put the Ditto in the day-care center found there. Then put the female Eevee in the day-care center. Leave and travel around. Time is needed for the Pokémon to breed. The passage of time is calculated by how many steps you take, so standing still won't help. Walk or cycle around and keep checking back at the day-care center until an egg is available.

Put the egg in the character party and travel around with it. After a while, an Eeevee will hatch from the egg.
